 Professional & Personal Background

Micheala (Mickey) has worked for the Community Health Department as the Diabetes Program Coordinator since March 2021. She provides specialized education and support to Forest County Potawatomi Community members living with diabetes. She offers personalized diabetes teaching, home/office visits, diabetes case management, blood glucose level management, diabetes equipment management, medication management, nursing assessments, immunizations, and support and education about various health and safety topics.

Prior to working for the Community Health Department, Micheala worked as a Medical/Surgical Nurse for 3 years, gaining valuable experience working with both acute and chronic diseases.
